Maclay Architects are world leaders in net zero architecture and we were honored when they decided to work with us. Maclay Architect’s work is founded on preserving and supporting our unique traditions and heritage that connect us to our natural, social, historic, and cultural fabric and resources. Maclay creates spaces which are productive, pleasant and enrich the environment and the human spirit - we worked with the designers at Maclay to create a website that reflects these same characteristics.
Maclay Architects is one of the countries leading Net Zero Architecture firms, and when they asked Four Nine Design to re-design their existing website we were excited to take on the project.
Maclay has been in business since the 70’s and has developed a large portfolio over that time period. We worked to showcase the breath of their design experience and highlight the environmental know-how that sets their brand apart.
We began the process with an on-site workshop at the Moosilauke Ravine Lodge - a stunning building in New Hampshire’s White Mountains that Maclay had designed for Dartmouth College’s Outing Club. The workshop included all of Maclay’s team members and was designed to extrapolate the teams thoughts and feelings about the brand and the website.
Once we had solidified the key brand differentiators, we began designing a suite of homepage options for the client to review. We worked with the team to develop a look unique to Maclay and highlight the experience they have designing and developing net zero, environmentally friendly homes and buildings.
