Four Nine Design - Vermont Website Design and Development

Website Case Study

Weird Window Brewing

The founders of Weird Window Brewing Company approached Four Nine Design with a clear mission: to bring something fresh and distinctive to the Vermont craft brewing scene. Seeking guidance on everything from a brand name to logo design and website development, we embraced the challenge by diving deep into market analysis, brainstorming creative ideas, and collaborating closely with the founders to craft a brand identity that would make a lasting impact in this competitive space.

To capture the essence of Vermont's unique charm, we decided on a concept that was both organic and iconic—the “Witch Windows” theme. The logo reflects this with a stylized roofline and a Witch Window angled at 45 degrees, inspired by a historic Vermont architectural feature that dates back centuries. This nod to local tradition gives the brand a distinct, regionally rooted identity.

Nestled in South Burlington, Weird Window Brewing is committed to creating approachable and diverse beers that the brewers themselves love drinking. Their goal is simple: to offer a range of beers that will appeal to everyone who visits their taproom, ensuring that there’s a brew for every palate.

Project Overview

To serve as a cornerstone of their brand and digital presence, the Weird Window Brewing team approached Four Nine Design to create a website that not only showcased their craft but also drove local visitors to their brewery in South Burlington, Vermont.

We started by holding a custom-tailored internal meeting to fully understand how Weird Window Brewing wanted to present their unique brand story. After exploring a variety of comparable breweries and websites from Vermont and the Northeast, we developed a content architecture that effectively conveyed the essence of their craft beers, their commitment to quality brewing, and their distinctive Vermont identity. This foundational work led to the creation of a streamlined website that would connect the Weird Window Brewing brand with their community and customers.

A primary goal for the site was to showcase the individual beers, highlighting the craftsmanship and care involved in creating each one. Weird Window Brewing takes pride in offering an approachable and diverse selection of beers, catering to a variety of tastes and ensuring that every visitor could find a brew they’d enjoy. The website needed to reflect this diverse offering, with clear and engaging content about each beer and its unique characteristics.

Additionally, the website was designed to be user-friendly, allowing the Weird Window Brewing team to easily update their content—whether it’s showcasing new beer releases, sharing upcoming events, or updating visitors about taproom specials. The platform is built with SEO best practices in mind, ensuring that their site ranks well in search results and attracts more traffic from locals and craft beer enthusiasts alike.

By using a clean and responsive website design and providing a straightforward content management system (CMS), the site gives the team full control to maintain and update their content with ease. It’s now an essential marketing tool that not only represents Weird Window Brewing’s unique brand, but also functions as an essential part of their ongoing business growth.
